NPT operates 24/7, providing essential care to the community at all hours of the day and night.

Our shifts are typically 10 hours in duration, with start times ranging from as early as 5:00am to as late as 10:30pm.

To meet the needs of those we care for, we’re seeking applicants who are genuinely flexible and open to working a variety of shifts across the day and night, including early mornings, afternoons, evenings, overnights, and weekends.

About You

If you are currently studing Paramedicine or Nursing and seeking equivalency of your current studies for a position of a Patient Transport Officer, please note that in order to progress your application you must also supply a copy of a Statement of Attainment that contains HLTOUT007 Transport non-emergency patients under operational conditions.  If you have not obtained this unit of competency, please reach out to a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) or provides this training.  NPT's RTO, NPT Heart, provides this training.  Please refer to our website for more details or contact our team on 03 8414 9911

Referee Requirements

If you progress to the interview stage, you will be asked to provide details for two referees who have held a supervisory or management position in relation to your work. We will require their email address and phone number. While not mandatory at the application stage, some applicants choose to include referee details in their resumé.

Tell us about your immunisation status

As a patient transport professional, you may be exposed to infectious agents either through direct contract with an infectious patient or indirectly through a contaminated surface or environment.  Therefore NPT is committed to ensuring that any employee has the required immunisations to protect themselves from vaccine preventable conditions.  There is a number of mandatory and recommened vaccinations that NPT requires evidence of protection.  Please speak with your GP if you require further information about these vaccination requirements.  NPT will be unable to process any application for employment until evidence of the required vaccines has been provdied.  

Mandatory Vaccinations

It is a requirement of your employment within the health industry that have been immunised against preventable diseases. NPT requires evidence of your immunisation status prior to employment. This is to ensure compliance with current Australian Infection Control and Occupational Health Requirements is met in order to protect you and the patients transported from exposure to vaccine preventable diseases.
